Following the success of the 2024 production “The Monkey King: Havoc In Calligraphy Metaverse”, which received seven international awards, this August sees the return of “Big Adventures With Brush and Ink”, a highlight of the “Jockey Club Learning Chinese Culture through Arts Tech Theatre Programme 2.0”.
With newly enhanced content, the Children’s Creative Arts Tech Camp returns to Yuen Long Theatre, inviting children and families into a new world of calligraphy where arts technology sparks the imagination and awakens the senses.

The School Calligraphy and Ink Art Workshops are designed by Dr Kan Tai-keung and personally led by Dr Chui Pui-chee.

Primary schools across Hong Kong are warmly invited to join an artistic journey combining Chinese culture with creative learning. Integrating Chinese calligraphy, ink art and performing arts, the workshops help students develop an interest in Chinese culture, strengthen their aesthetic appreciation and creative expression, and support learning in the Humanities curriculum and values education.
Participation is free of charge. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged.

Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the “Jockey Club Learning Chinese Culture through Arts Tech Theatre Programme” has been presented by Zuni Icosahedron since July 2023.

Over the past three years, a series of programmes and activities integrating arts technology, music, performance and interactive installations has introduced participants of different ages and backgrounds to Chinese culture and encouraged them to explore the aesthetics and wisdom of tradition.
Building on the achievements of its first phase, the “Jockey Club Learning Chinese Culture through Arts Tech Theatre Programme 2.0” focuses on Chinese calligraphy and ink art, bringing together arts technology, music, installation art and participatory theatre to create a new cultural learning experience.
