Dong Zhongshu, a master well-respected even by the emperor in ancient China, said there are Five Virtues particularly prized by Chinese people. They are also compatible with the Five Elements. Let us tell you a story: In the Five-Virtue Village, there are five good friends: Righteousness, Benevolence, Wisdom, Propriety, and Faith. They have the superpowers of the “Five Elements”, which together can make the world a better place. They also teach us how to be a better person.

Righteousness is Metal
Righteousness is a fair and just partner who will not covet unreasonably, and will respects other people’s property as well as understanding the importance of sharing.

Benevolence is Wood
Benevolence is a kind little friend who protects all creatures, cares about other people’s feelings and is kind to everyone.

Wisdom is Water
Wisdom is a smart little fellow who likes to address to problems, learn new things, and come up with ideas to help others.

Propriety is Fire
Propriety is a polite little companion who is cheerful and behaving, and also paying respect to the elderly and taking care of friends.

Faith is Earth
Faith is an honest and reliable little friend who always trustworthy, loyal and with a big heart.
