Internship Programme

Aspiring students are offered professional training and opportunities to work in arts tech and theatre productions. Throughout their 2-to-4-week internship, participants are exposed to a wide range of experiences, from event planning and art promotion to multimedia production. Bringing theory they learn in theatre into practice, they can exercise creativity and cultivate leadership skills.

This internship has taught me how theatre can be broken down into different elements. We further explore their effects independently, and then put them back together. In the process, not only did I realise that each element requires professional knowledge, but  I also learnt valuable lessons in the power of teamwork.

Handling front-of-house reception work and liaising with social groups provided me with the opportunity to practise communication and cooperation with different roles and groups. I also learned how to prioritise tasks and adapt promptly.

It shows me the coordination and collaboration among the technical team, creative team, and administrators… As I aspire to work in the arts administration industry in the future, this experience has familiarised me with the intricacies of being meticulous and coordinated in a workplace. It has equipped me with valuable skills for the future workforce.
